Steve was commissioned by Carrillo Architectural Group to paint 36 murals for the Sprint Technical Centers in Nashville and Los Angeles. Each floor was themed — guitarists, songwriters, bands, singers, and athletes (in LA). It was one of the most exciting projects of Steve’s career as he immersed himself in a new musicians catalog and biographies. Soon he was on a first-name basis with Elvis, Aretha, B.B., Garth, Johnny, Bono and Eric. Each interpretive work depicts the musician with meaningful elements from his or her life and songs.
The images were printed on a special adhesive-backed material with a tough surface to withstand the bumps of a busy working environment. In addition, some of Steve’s original sketches were enlarged as blueprints for the elevator lobby walls.
